Joyce "Jeanette" (Haney) Winstead

Joyce “Jeanette” Haney Winstead, age 71, of Asheville, NC, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at The Laurels of Green Tree Ridge in Asheville.

Jeanette was born on March 6, 1951, in Buncombe County to the late John C. Haney and Bertha Mae Flynn Haney. She was retired and had been a case worker at DSS and worked for the county in the air quality control department. Jeanette was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville. 

Jeanette was a loving daughter, sister, and cousin. She enjoyed playing cards and having Sunday picnics with her family.    She loved her dogs and had many of them throughout her lifetime. Most of all, Jeanette loved her family and they loved her and will miss her always.

In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Haney; and a sister, Wanda Haney.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her brother, Dan (Mary) Haney of Asheville; six cousins, Morris Flynn, Barbara Dorlan, and Patsy Singleton, all of Asheville, and Debbie Emeott of Alabama, Donna and DeeDee Flynn both of Atlanta, GA.
