Judy Catherine (Robbins) Martin

          Judy Catherine Robbins Martin, age 79, of Greeneville, TN, and formerly of Asheville, NC  passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Greeneville Community Hospital in Greeneville, TN. Judy was born on December 16, 1941 in Johnson City, TN to the late Searl Robbins and Laura Snapp Robbins.

          She graduated from Johnson City Science Hill High School and attended East Tennessee State University.  Judy was a sterilization technician and worked 28 years for Mission Hospital St. Joseph Campus in Asheville until her retirement in 2005. She attended Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Asheville.

          She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Judy was a quiet and humble lady who loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren who she loved dearly. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband and she loved going bowling.

          Those left behind to cherish her memory are her best friend and husband who have been together for forty years, Marvin Martin; her three sons, Tony (Donna) Hughes and Stephen (Lisa) Hughes both of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Michael (Jessica) Martin of Greeneville, TN; two daughters, Dawn Lance and Michelle (Eddy) Sprinkle, both of Candler, NC; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

          The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM in the chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home in Swannanoa, NC. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Penland's Chapel conducted by Reverend Dr. Jeff Dowdy. Burial will follow the service at Cook Farm Cemetery in Madison Co., NC.
