Justin Michael West

Justin Michael West, age 32, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away in the early morning of Thursday, January 26, 2023.

After a long battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully at home with the most important people in his life by his side including his cat, Cloudy.

Born on February 2, 1990, along with his twin sister, Justin remained a mama's boy whose favorite past time was video games and trivia.

He was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in September of 2021 and for a year and a half he fought hard for his life.

He is celebrated and survived by his loving parents, Leslie and Eric Von Cannon, of the home; his twin sister, Lindsay McKinney (Dustin), and older sister, Angelisa Greene (Bryan); and his seven nieces and nephews, who he adored: Jamie, Jasper, Avelinn, Adrian, Azalea, Gracie, and Nora.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023, in the chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home, 125 South Avenue, Swannanoa, NC, 28778, officiated by Reverend  James Lamb.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel from 3:00 Pm to 4:00 PM.
