Karen Lou Williams

          Karen Lou Williams, age 63, of Jacksonville, Duval County, FL, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at her home. She was born on February 6, 1956 in Asheville, Buncombe County, NC to Lewie Maurice and Thelma Jeanette Spann Williams. Karen was an accomplished and dedicated member of the United States Army from 1984-1980. She had been awarded several service ribbons, medals and badges. Karen is survived by her loving sister, Jackie Lynn Laureiro of Jacksonville, FL.
          A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2pm, Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. Deacon Ralph Eckoff will be officiating. Penland Family Funeral home is honored to be caring for the Williams Family.
