Kathleen Ann (Yasger) Gibbs

       Kathleen Ann Yasger Gibbs, 74, died Friday, March 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at The Brian Center in Weaverville, NC.  Born in Bell, California on February 2, 1945 to the late Thomas E. and Ann Beckman Yasger.  Kathleen loved to cook and many remember the green club aluminum pot she cooked everything in. Kathleen was a member of Central Methodist Church in Asheville, NC and was found most times in the kitchen preparing meals for her church family.

       Kathleen traveled the world with her husband Vann and two daughters, Vanessa and Heidi while Vann was serving in the US Air Force.

       Left to cherish wonderful memories is her husband, Vann B. Gibbs, Jr.; daughters, Vanessa Chandler and her husband Gary of Weaverville, NC, Heidi Carmack and her husband Tim and Karen Clemmer of Encinitas, CA; brothers, Tom Yasger and his wife Sue of Los Angeles, CA and Rick Yasger of Tacoma, WA; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

       A gathering of family and friends will be from 6pm-8pm, Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Penland Family Funeral Home, 125 South Ave Swannanoa, NC 28778. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to The Alzheimer's Association 225 N.        The Gibbs family would like to say a special thank you to the wonderful staff at The Brian Center, Weaverville, NC for their loving care of Kathleen and our family during this difficult time in our lives. Their outpouring of love was tremendous for all.
