Kenneth “Ken” Clarence Crowder, 87, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Laurels of Summit Ridge in Asheville, NC.
Born August 17, 1937, in Madison County, NC, he was the son of the late Thomas Bristol Crowder and Nell Howell Crowder. He was employed by Ingle’s for 20 years as a truck driver, which he enjoyed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Eddie McMahan; siblings, Vera Wallin, Julie Moss, Lee Fischer, Glada Crowder, and Ray Crowder. Surviving are his spouse of 35 years, Betty A. Crowder; daughter, Anita Crowder of Barnardsville, NC; siblings, Doris Ramsey of Lexington, NC, and Wanda Morgan and her spouse, Fred, of Zebulon, NC; grandson, Daniel Crowder; and step-granddaughter, Auriella McMahan.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2024 in the chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home.

Ken was a very kind, generous, and caring man and friend.
