Kimberly Carroll (Williams) Owenby

Kimberly Carroll Williams Owenby, age 50, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

Kimberly was born on August 20, 1971, in Buncombe Co., NC to Richard Carroll Williams and Linda Moore Williams.

She graduated from Charles D. Owen High School and was of the Baptist faith. Kimberly was a homemaker and enjoyed making crafts. She made beautiful and personalized tumblers, signs, ornaments, etc., and enjoyed going to craft shows to sell her designs. She was a strong-willed, open, and honest person who had a great sense of humor. She was also a  loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.  Everyone who knew Kimberly loved her and will miss her terribly.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Moore; maternal grandfather, Houston Moore; paternal grandmother, Marie Williams; and paternal grandfather, Calvin Williams.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 20 years, Ricky Owenby; a daughter, Brittany (Dustin) Ebert of Lincolnton, NC; a sister, Mary (Guy) Little of Asheville; a granddaughter, Sharlotte Joyce Ebert of Lincolnton; two grandsons, Dawson, and Tucker Ebert , both of Lincolnton; a niece , Alison Marie Little; and a nephew, Allen William Little, both of Asheville.

Per Kimberly’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service to attend. Instead, she requested that her beloved husband, parents, and family be lifted up in prayers of comfort.
