Kyle Richard Standard

Kyle Richard Standard, age 25, of Asheville, NC, passed away on April 17, 2025, in Asheville.  Kyle was born on August 10, 1999, in Fort Collins, Colorado, to Grant Mitchell Standard, of Sioux Falls, SD, and Erica Deanne Buchmaier Standard, of Honea Path, SC.  Kyle previously resided in Loveland, CO, and Venice, FL.

Kyle is preceded in death by his grandmother, Charlene Camille Buchmaier.  Kyle is survived by his sister, Megan Kristin Standard, of Honea Path, SC; his grandfather, Richard Heinz Buchmaier, of Blairsville, GA; his aunt, Kristin Anita Cascio, of Honea Path, SC; his grandmother and grandfather, Irene and Gary Standard, of Blanco, TX; and his cousins, Elizabeth Erica Anderson, of Greenville, SC, and Anaka Nichole Taylor, of Pendleton, SC.

Kyle graduated from Venice High School and was previously employed with Pyramid Healthcare.  He enjoyed film photography, history, reading, rollerblading, learning German, and helping others.  He always strived to be kind and honest and had a great sense of humor.  He loved hiking, nature, travel, and learning new things.

Kyle was a beautiful man with a beautiful soul. He was fragile, yet strong. He carried so much love in his heart and helped so many people. He was intelligent, creative, funny and kind. He will never truly die. He will be in our hearts forever.

A family gathering will be held at Bald Rock Heritage Preserve in Cleveland, SC, on May 10, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m.
