Larry Lee Brown

Larry Lee Brown, age 72, of Asheville, NC, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

Larry was born on February 28, 1951, in Buncombe County to the late Johnnie Lee Brown and Thelma Rebecca Byrd Brown.  He was a member of Oakley Free Will Baptist Church.

Larry had a great sense of humor and was always fun to be around. He was known for his “Donald Duck” impression that would always make everyone laugh. He enjoyed going fishing in his spare time and was a wonderful brother and friend. Most importantly, Larry loved the Lord and his church family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Earl Brown and Jerry Doyle Brown; and two sisters, Shirley Elaine Brown and Carolyn Faye Lewis.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his four brothers, Daniel David Brown and his wife Patty of Connecticut, Floyd Wayne Brown of Dunlap, TN; Johnny Bruce Brown of Asheville, NC and Billy Gregory Brown and his girlfriend Wanda, of Asheville, NC; a sister, Marilyn Kaye Wells of Candler, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Oakley Free Will Baptist Church, 2 Fairview Avenue, Asheville, NC 28803, conducted by Pastor James Smith.
