Laura Elizabeth (Stroupe) Creasman

Laura Elizabeth Stroupe Creasman, age 89, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at her residence.

Laura was born on December 23, 1932, in Washington, D.C., to the late Hubert Stroupe and Oma Kirkpatrick Stroupe.

She worked as a supply clerk at Beacon Manufacturing for over 30 years until her retirement. Laura enjoyed reading and was an avid bird lover. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil “Buster” Creasman;  a granddaughter, Laura Cook; and a great-grandson, Jacob Stewart.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Dennis Creasman of Swannanoa; two daughters, Lorraine Allen of Swannanoa, and Holly (Butch) Hamby of Asheville, NC; three granddaughters, Julie (Ryan) Moore of Ridgecrest, NC, Kelly (Burgan) Grigg of Shelby, NC, and Jennifer (Greg) Ingle of Candler, NC; and three great-grandchildren, Katelyn Grigg and Brennan Grigg, both of Shelby, NC and Morgan Stewart of Charlotte, NC.
