Laura Lee (Jenkins) Perez

Laura Lee Jenkins Perez, age 53, of 162 Governors View Road, Asheville, NC, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

Laura was born on May 6, 1972, to the late Larry Gene Jenkins and Mary Willits Jenkins of Fairview, NC. After graduating from T. C. Roberson High School, she went on to earn her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Laura’s favorite color was purple, and she enjoyed cross-stitch, adult coloring books, and spending time doing creative activities. She loved butterflies, the beach, and camping. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her beloved grandbabies.

In addition to her father, who passed away in 1997, Laura was preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” Preston Jenkins (2002), and her nephew, Cody Lee Jenkins (1995).

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Mary Jenkins; her daughters, Tamara Perez and Analis Perez, both of Asheville; her grandchildren, Nevaeh, Aaliyah, Za’Niyla, Elona, and Tevin Jr., all of Asheville; her sisters, Allison Baver of Fairview and Kimberly Dorlan of Asheville; and her niece, Tasha Jenkins of Fairview, NC.
