Lawrence "Larry" Hubert Naves

          Lawrence "Larry" Hubert Naves, age 78, of Swannanoa, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 8, 1941 in Madison County to the late Hubert and Ossie Pegg Naves. Larry was a United States Army Veteran, worked as a mechanic and also for a textile manufacturing company. He was of the Baptist Faith as well. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Marie Anne Robinson Naves; his daughter, Leigh Anne Cathy (Jerry) of Marion; his sister, Faye Huey (James) of Weaverville; his granddaughter, Anna Robinson of Old Fort; his three nephews, Jimmy Huey, Jeff Huey and Matthew Robinson; and his niece, Louann Lovin.
          A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2pm, Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.  The Rev. James Lamb and Matthew Robinson will be officiating. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Naves Family.
