Leroy Roland Ball

          Leroy Noland Ball, 85, of Asheville, NC, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Stonecreek Health and Rehabilitation in Asheville. He was born on March 20, 1935 in McDowell County, NC to the late John Logan Ball and Althie Roberts Ball. Leroy worked as a route sales representative for 7-UP Bottling Company and was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Swannanoa. He was a very generous, sweet and kind man. Leroy was loved by his friends and neighbors and he loved his dogs very much. He also enjoyed watching old western TV shows and movies. 
          Along with his parents, Leroy was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth Baldwin Ball who passed on April 10, 2016. He is survived by his brothers, Richard Eugene Ball of Asheville, Tommy Ball of California, and Wallace Ball of Georgia; and his sister, Elizabeth Wise of Leicester.
          Per his request, no service will be held. Leroy will be buried with his late wife, Mary, at Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Ball Family and assisting them with arrangements.
