Linda Gail (Moss) Bailey

Linda Gail Moss Bailey, 78, of Buncombe County, NC, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Mountain Ridge Health and Rehabilitation.

Born on October 10, 1947, in Asheville, NC, Linda was the daughter of the late Dewey Melvin Moss (2006) and Betty Lou Maney (2008). She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Lloyd Danny Bailey.

Linda is survived by her son, Danny Lee Bailey of Swannanoa, NC; daughters, Donna Mancini (Brock) of Fairview, NC), Deena Bailey of Swannanoa, NC; sisters, Kathy Ledford (Terry) of Leicester, NC, Karen Hudson of Black Mountain, NC; grandchildren, Amie Sellers (Doug) of Fairview, NC, Ricky Banks of Swannanoa, NC, Johnny Bailey (Virginia) of Fairview, NC, Jennifer Bailey (Tommy) of Swannanoa, NC, Jesse Denny (Crystal) of Asheville, NC, Carrie Plumley (Chris) of Black Mountain, NC. Kyle Denny (Amber) of Statesville, NC; 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Penland Family Funeral Home, 125 South Avenue, Swannanoa, NC 28778. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with burial to take place at 1:00 p.m. at Snelson Family Cemetery, with Bruce Robinson to officiate.
