Linda "Momma" Lou (McCarson) Laughter

            Linda Lou "Momma" Laughter, age 66, of Asheville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at her home. She was born on April 11, 1954 in Buncombe County to the late Fred McCarson and Fannie Burnett McCarson. Linda was a loving mother and homemaker for her family. She was a member of Reed Memorial Baptist Church in Asheville. Linda loved people and was also an animal lover. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe McCarson. Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Terrence "Terry" Lee Laughter; her sons, Terrence Laughter Jr. (Kristen) and Timothy Laughter (Tabitha); her daughter, Tara Laughter Black (Ryan); and her four grandchildren, Emma and Madilyn Laughter and Cameron and Thomas Black; her sisters, Dale Hensley, Sherry Ledford, and Sylvia Blankenship; and brothers, Tommy and Denny McCarson; all of Asheville, NC.

            A graveside service will be held at 11am, Saturday, July 25th, 2020 at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville. Rev. Joel Burton will be officiating. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Laughter Family.
