Lynne Marie (Rodgers) Gillespie

Lynne Marie Rodgers Gillespie, age 70, of Mills River, NC, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023 in Hendersonville, NC.

Lynne was born on March 30, 1953 in Miami, FL to the late Ronald Milton Rodgers and Martha Jo Pearson Rodgers.

Lynne was an outgoing person who never met a stranger and she made friends easily. She was an artistic lady who enjoyed painting and making banners for church. She also enjoyed religious dancing. Lynne was a loving mother and homemaker and she loved her family dearly. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons, Kenneth Platt and fiancé Susie Allen of Mills River, NC and Jonathan Phelan and his wife Deana of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Amanda Phelan of Nashville, TN; a sister, Terri Perry and her husband Robert of Sevierville, TN; and a granddaughter, Noelle Phelan and a grandson, McCarthy Phelan, both of Las Vegas, NV.

A Celebration of Lynne’s Life will be announced at a later date by the family.
