Obituary
Margie Lynn Osteen of Brevard, NC passed away unexpectedly on the morning of June 2nd, 2023.
Born on February 21st, 1961, she was the only daughter of Rev. Fred L. Osteen Sr. and Sarah Huntsinger Osteen of Brevard.
She was a graduate of East Henderson High School’s Class of 1979 and worked for CW/J.Crew for many years in accounting. She was a successful cosmetologist who ran “Nails by Margie” for over 15 years. Most importantly, she was the founder of Middle Cross Ministries and Chosen Gospel Ministries that served the North and Southeast through singing and evangelism for over 30 years.
She was an award winning singer and gospel songwriter whose songs were recorded by numerous famous touring gospel groups all over the United States.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Fred Lee Osteen. She is survived by her only child, Blake Anthony Ellege of Haywood County.
A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
