Mary Maleta Moore

Mary Maleta Moore, 97, of Asheville, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 at her home in Asheville. She was born in Buncombe County on February 27, 1920 to the late Floyd E. Sr. and Carrie Davis Pressley. Mary worked as the department manager for a department store. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Moore Sr.; her twin children, Harry L. Moore Jr. and DeeDee Dickerson; two grandchildren; and her brother, Floyd "Bud" E. Pressley Jr. Mary is survived by her daughter, Joy Roland of Asheville; sister, Mildred Ballard of Maryville, TN; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. 
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville. Rev. Dr. Jeff Dowdy will be officiating the service. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Moore family.
