Mary Anne (Owensby) Riddle

Mary Anne Riddle, 70, of Black Mountain, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Givens Highland Farms.

Born May 27, 1953 in Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late John and Agnes Owensby. She was a graduate of Charles D. Owen High School class of 1971 and attended A.B. Tech.

Mary Anne took pride in her flower beds and kept them well-manicured. Of her many hobbies, arts and crafts of just about any kind were her favorite pastimes. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse, James R. Riddle; brothers, John W. Owensby and Donald B. Owensby; and brother-in-law, Terry Hunter.

 Surviving are her children, Dawn Renee Haynes and James Shawn Riddle; siblings, Dana June Hunter and sons, James Dale Owensby and his spouse, Sarah, and David Ray Owensby and wife Brenda; and sister-in-law, Joan Owensby; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
