Michael Leon Harbison

          Michael Leon Harbison, age 48, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. He was born on July 21, 1971 in Patterson, NJ to the late Robert Harbison and Fawn Daugherty Harbison. Michael had a great sense of humor and he loved to laugh and tell jokes. He was a very loving and caring man who loved his family and was deeply loved by his brother and sisters who will miss him dearly. He had a special place in his heart for his daughter Treasure. Michael is survived by his daughter, Treasure Harbison of Midway Park, NC; his brothers, Robert Harbison Jr. (Charlene) of Pennsylvania, James Harbison of Swannanoa, NC, and Terry Harbison (Samantha) of NJ; and his sisters, Norma Harbison of Swannanoa, Maxine Boyd of Swannanoa, NC, and Yvonne Richberg of Asheville, NC; and a very special aunt Bernice Spencer of Swannanoa, NC.
          A memorial service will be held at 3pm, Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Macedonia AME Zion Church located at 175 US 70 Highway, Swannanoa, NC 28778. Quiet time will be held from 2:30pm-3pm. The Rev. Kathy Logan will be officiating. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Harbison Family.
