Patricia Prestwood Black

Patricia Prestwood Black passed away on May 9, 2025, in Leicester, North Carolina. Born on April 8, 1943, her life was a quiet testament to enduring love and the deep bonds of family.

She is remembered with affection by her husband, Carl E. Black of Leicester, whose devotion stood as a steady light through the years. Patricia’s legacy continues through their grandson Matthew Caldwell his wife and special friend Tanya Caldwell of Leicester grandchildren Ethan Morris Joffery Caldwell of Leicester and Kaitlyn Marie Caldwell of Alexander; and eight step-grandchildren—Tiffany, Josh, Justin, Allison, Jarrett, Jacob, Matthew, and Angel—each held close in Patricia’s heart. Her memory also lives on in the next generation and among many cherished friends.

A private service will be held at Paynes Chapel United Methodist Cemetery to honor Patricia’s life in a setting of quiet reverence.
