Patricia Ann (Getty) Sands

Patricia Ann “Pat” Getty Sands, age 79, of Leicester, NC passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.

Pat was born on January 12, 1943, in Providence, RI to the late Thomas Joseph Getty and Ethel Beatrice Richards.

She was a wonderful and loving mother and foster mother. She loved and raised many children during her lifetime and her family meant everything to her. Her children were her best blessings and the joy of her life.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her four sons, Richard Sands of NJ, Charles (Janet) Sands of Asheville, Frank Sands, of Asheville, and Timothy (Celine) Sands of Monterey, CA; three daughters, Patti (George) Shelton of Leicester, NC, Tabitha Scott of Arden, NC and Shadai Sands of Asheville, NC; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

A Private Celebration of Life will be held to honor Pat at a later date.
