Patrisha Joice (Club) Dawson

Patrisha Joice Club Dawson, age 86, of Asheville, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Mountain Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in Black Mountain, NC.

Patrisha was born on January 26, 1937 to the late Arthur Jack Club and Gladys Rhymer Club. She was retired and she attended Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church in Asheville. Before her retirement, Patrisha had worked as the Bakery Manager at Ingles and had been a manicurist at the Battery Park Hotel in Asheville.

Patrisha was a Christian lady who loved her church and church family. She was a very caring and encouraging person who loved people. She loved to talk to people and make new friends. Everyone who knew her loved her. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly and her memory will be carried in their hearts forever.

In addition to her parents, Patrisha was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dawson; a son, Daniel Glen Blankenship; a brother, Bill Club; and a sister, Narvus Jean Club.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Harold “Van” Blankenship and his wife Lori, of Black Mountain, NC; a sister, Marcie Molton of Hendersonville, NC; four granddaughters, Amanda Blankenship of Asheville, NC, Chazi Blankenship of Bryson City, NC, Ashley Blankenship of Arden, NC, and Vangie Powell of Arden, NC; a grandson, Tim Guffey and his wife Jesse of Fletcher, NC; three great-grandsons, Jackson and Zeke Guffey of Fletcher, NC and Adrian Tesner of Asheville, NC;  and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church, 238 S. French Broad Ave., Asheville, NC, 28801, conducted by Reverend Ezra J. Mendinghall.
