Paul William Allen

Paul William Allen, 49, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 at his home. Born January 17, 1975 in Asheville, NC, he was a son of the late Ernest Garland Allen and Kathy Diane Grant.

He attended Charles D. Owen High School and enjoyed fishing and raising fish. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lois Grant and his paternal grandmother, Evelyn Allen.

Surviving are his brothers, Jason R. Allen and David E. Allen both of Swannanoa, NC; uncles, Daniel Grant of Swannanoa, and Perry Grant of Asheville; aunts, Sharon Jackson and Wanda Hutchins both of Swannanoa, Deborah Hamby of Black Mountain, Janis Aydelette of Georgia; and Barbara Stroupe of Virginia; and a special cousin, Thomas Grant and his spouse, Dawn, of Asheville, as well as many additional cousins, and his canine companions, Luna, Jack, and Roxie.

 A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Charles D. Owen Lake in Swannanoa.
