Perry Bruce Chandler, 66, of Asheville, NC, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Born July 19, 1959, in Asheville, NC, he was the son of the late Laddy and Annie Mae Chandler.
He attended Charles D. Owen High School and worked most of his life as an automotive mechanic. In 1996, he retired from C & D Recycling after 20 years of service. He enjoyed being in the great outdoors, either casting a line for a mountain trout or record-breaking carp, or hunting for pheasant or a 10-point buck. He also enjoyed buying, restoring, and selling cars, as well as riding ATVs and motorcycles. The children carry fond memories of sharing those activities and adventures with him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Chuck Reynolds, brothers, Charles Chandler, Robert Chandler, Melvin Chandler, Terry Chandler, and Jerry Chandler, and 3 grandchildren.
Surviving are his spouse of 47 years, Martha Reynolds; children, Cindy Greenough of Spokane, WA, Todd Reynolds, and his spouse, Dana, of Bellingham, WA, Phillip Reynolds, and his spouse, Alicia, of Sedro Woolley, WA, Shane Reynolds of San Antonio, TX, and “Angie” Reynolds, and her spouse, Venancio, of San Angelo, TX; brothers, Tommy Chandler and his spouse, Vickie, and Ricky Chandler all of Old Fort, NC; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and an uncle, “Goose” Manard of Swannanoa, NC.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain, NC, at 3 PM.
