Rachel Belle (Mcleod) Conway

Rachel Belle McLeod Conway, age 102, of Givens Estates in Asheville, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 5, 2025. She had been a cherished member of the Givens community since 1983.

Born on July 19, 1923, in Leaf, Mississippi, Rachel was the daughter of the late Roderick Frank McLeod and Florence Herring McLeod, who tragically passed in an automobile accident on February 22, 1958. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward T. Conway; sisters Effie L. Powell and Alberta Reach; and brothers Willie McLeod, Rufus McLeod, Ray McLeod, Walter McLeod, Ben McLeod, and Alvin McLeod.

Rachel was a longtime member of Groce United Methodist Church and will be remembered for her quiet strength, enduring faith, and the grace with which she lived her life.
