Reba (Anderson) Wright

Reba Anderson Wright, age 90 of Milton, GA (formerly of Asheville, NC and Mobile, AL), passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, at her residence.

Reba was born on May 4, 1932, in Hayesville, NC to the late Roy and Macy Anderson. She moved to Asheville and worked as the administrative assistant to Mr. Beverly of Beverly Real Estate and was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church.

Reba was active in the community and had been the President of United Commercial Travelers local chapter, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Riceville Fire Department and Past Worthy Matron with the Order of the Eastern Star Masons.

At age 61, she and her husband moved to Mobile, AL where she attended Cottage Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family. Reba was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. She loved her family dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 66 years, Richard Eugene Wright; a daughter, Janet Wright (Steve) Martin of Milton, GA; two grandsons, Jonathan Grant (Lauren) Martin and Blake Anthony (Kelsey) Martin, both of Atlanta, GA; great-granddaughter, Ameila Grace Martin and great-grandson, Jonathan Bennet Martin, both of Atlanta, GA; three nieces, Sharon Wright (Walter) Adams of Gainesville, FL, Diane Wright (Mike) Tippet of Rhome, TX, and Sandra Parham (Will) Dennis of Lawrenceville, NJ; a nephew, John (Laurel) Parham of Haymarket, VA; brother-in-law, Wayne (Joan) Wright of Boyd, TX; and sister-in-law, Jeanette (Ed) Wright of Fairfax, VA.  

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home, 125 South Ave., Swannanoa, NC, 28778, with Pastor Joshua Blight conducting the service.

Burial will follow the service at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, 901 Aiken Rd., Asheville, NC, 28804.
