Rebecca Rose (Davis) Garner

Rebecca Rose Davis Garner, 88, of Fletcher, NC, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the Elizabeth House. 

Rebecca was born on December 3, 1936, in Robeson County, NC, to the late Wilton Earl Davis and Beulah Barnes Davis. She is also preceded in death by her spouse, Max Deon Garner; brothers, Ken, Elmer, and Robert Davis; sister, Frances Davis; and grandson, Jonathan Chase Williams. 

Rebecca was affiliated with the Rock Church (non-denominational) and was an avid reader, quilt maker, and baker. 

Rebecca is survived by her son, Max Garner Jr. of Jackson, TN; daughters, Sharon Williams (Brad) of Jacksonville, FL and Vicky Garner of Fletcher, NC; brother, Larry Davis (Joyce); sister, Irene Wiles; granddaughters Ashley and Bailey Williams of Jacksonville, FL and Lindsey Young (Jeremy) of Jackson, TN; grandson Justin Garner (Kelly) of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandson Jack and Leo Young of Jackson, TN and Walter Garner or Murfreesboro, TN; and great-granddaughter, Ledora Rose Garner of Murfreesboro, TN. 

A visitation will be held at The Rock Church in Candler, NC, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM on January 2, 2025. A funeral service will follow.

Rebecca will be laid to rest at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery next to her spouse, Max Garner, of 67 Years.
