Robert Lewis Derreberry

Robert Lewis Derreberry, age 65, of Swannanoa, NC , passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at his home.

Robert was born on April 2, 1959 in Chicago, IL, to the late Toss Derreberry and Ollie Anderson Derreberry of Swannanoa. He worked as a general contractor for many years. Robert was happiest with his fishing line in the water or sitting on the porch enjoying the beautiful mountains.

In addition to his father, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Wren Derreberry, and sister, Diana Derreberry Griffin. Those left behind to cherish his memories are his mother Ollie; sons, Jonathon Derreberry (Tracy) of Swannanoa, Josh Derreberry of Greenville, TN, and Tyler Derreberry (Lindsey Cramer) of Asheville, NC; daughter, Katie Derreberry (Noah Rodgers) of Asheville; grandchildren, Avery Derreberry and Eliza Derreberry both of Asheville; sister, Carolyn Derreberry Beckner of Virgina; brother Daniel Derreberry, and nephew, Stephen Griffin of Asheville.

No services are planned per Robert's request.
