Clarence “Robert” Moore, age 67, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.
Robert was born on September 22, 1954, in Henderson County to Mildred McAbee Moore and the late Clarence Junior Moore. He was of the Baptist faith and worked for Taylor Drywall.
Robert was a wonderful and loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. Everyone who knew him, loved him. He enjoyed going fishing and spending time with his family. Robert’s family meant the world to him and he was deeply devoted to them. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his father, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Donny and Kevin Moore.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Mildred McAbee Moore of Fairview; two sons, Jason (Jennifer) Moore of Asheville, and Jeremy (Melissa) Moore of Fairview; a daughter, Autumn (David) Vuillier of Arden; a step-son, Justin (Monica) Moore of Cary; a step-daughter, Ashleigh (Joseph) Shipman of Greenville, TN; a brother, John Moore, of Swannanoa; two sisters, Diane (Benny) Reed of Fairview, and Janet (Dwain) Dawson of Black Mountain, NC; a grandson, Abram Vuillier; four granddaughters, Sayde, Scarlett, and Hazel Moore, Ariel Rice; four step- grandsons, Nathan and Kristian Moore, Cain McMinn and Kaleb Shipman; three step-granddaughters Mya and Zoe Moore, and Jaison McMinn; and his beloved dog, “Lady”.
Robert’s family would like to say a special “thank you” Care Partners Hospice for all of the loving care that was given to Robert during his illness.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home, 125 South Avenue, Swannanoa, NC, 28778.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Cane Creek Cemetery, 94 Graveyard Rd., Fairview, NC 28730 conducted by Pastor Todd Royal.
