Robert Lee Ramsuer, Jr.

Robert Lee Ramsuer Jr., age 69, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away on September 27, 2024, due to hurricane Helene.

Robert was born on October 5, 1954, in Buncombe County, NC, to the late Robert Lee Ramsuer, Sr. and Shirley Barnett Ramsuer. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War and worked in maintenance for 18 years at Cracker Barrel. Some of his most enjoyed hobbies included fishing and hunting.

Robert and his wife Nola tragically lost their lives to Hurricane Helene, in addition to his parents Robert is preceded in death by sister, Belvey Payton. Those left behind to cherish the memories are Robert and Nola's daughter Shalana Jordan and spouse Edward of Winston Salem, NC; brothers Vincent of Louisiana, Thomas of Hendersonville, and Stanley Ramsuer; grandsons Paul "P.J." Jordan and Aiden Jordan of Winston Salem.

A celebration of life ceremony was held on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

His daughter Shalana would like to thank the Swannanoa community, local authorities, Robert and Nola's neighbors, friends, and family for helping find them so they could now rest.
