Robert Lee Whitmire

Robert Lee Whitmire, age 30 of Asheville, NC, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

Robert was born on May 31, 1991, in Buncombe Co., to Latonda Whitmire. He was a much loved resident of Irene Wortham Center. He had an infectious personality and a smile that lit up the room!

Robert enjoyed music, singing and macaroni and cheese. He enjoyed one-on-one time with his staff.

He attended the TC Roberson PEP program and graduated in 2013. Robert loved local festivals and attending church. Robert was affectionately known as “Roberto” and “Boo-Boo”.

Robert leaves behind all of his friends and “family” members at Irene Wortham Center to cherish his memory.

A Memorial Service for Robert will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM at 18 Azalea Street, Asheville, NC.
