Robert "Bobby" Charles Tweed

Robert “Bobby” Charles Tweed, age 67, of Asheville, NC passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at his residence.

Bobby was born on July 3, 1955 in Duval County Florida to Clyde Tweed and Anna Ruth Newton. He lived in St. Petersburg, Florida at birth and was raised by his paternal grandmother and grandfather, the late Sarah Neil Chandler and Robert Nelson Tweed in Madison County, NC.

Bobby worked various part-time jobs in the Asheville Community. He loved to play games, and was an avid toy and plush animal collector. He enjoyed sitting on his porch in his rocking chair and he enjoyed having coffee, tea, and home-cooked meals. He brought smiles to everyone he met with his sweet smile and warm humor. Bobby was a fun and loving fellow, and achieved many milestones while overcoming many obstacles. Bobby is loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his paternal grandparents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Gilbert Tweed.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his housemate and friend, Andy Ernst of Asheville, NC; caregivers from Liberty Corner Enterprises in Asheville, NC; most recent care team, Mazio W., B.C., Mark S., Michael J., Danny J., Dylan P., Adrienne R. and many more; guardian, Stuart Moran of Hope for the Future in Asheville, NC.

A Celebration of Bobby’s Life will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Oakley United Methodist Church, 607 Fairview Rd. Asheville, NC, 28803, conducted by Reverend Jordan Durham.

A special “thank you” to the many people who knew Bobby and had the privilege of being a part of his life’s journey.
