Robin (Penland) Fraley

Alice Robin Penland Fraley is in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

God blessed us with the wonderful gift of our Mother. She was a strong soldier of the cross and never wavered from her faith and love of Jesus, standing firm in the face of adversity. Her dedication to her church family was abundant, as she taught Sunday school, VBS, and children's ministries. Blessed are we, her children, to have watched her live God's love in her daily life. She taught us to forgive and love others as Christ loves us. She taught us to love God with all our hearts, mind, and body. If you knew our Mother, you knew you were loved.

She was born to James and Iola Penland on February 27, 1928. She was married for 54 years to the love of her life, Roy Victor Fraley (2000), a marriage full of love, devotion, and laughter.

She is survived by her devoted children, Brenda Fraley Reece (Larry), Gail Fraley Grissom (David), Rhonda Fraley Dyer (Tom, 2012) and Vic Fraley Jr. (Angie); grandchildren, Jeff Reece, Jennifer Reece Combs, Laura Grissom Veasey (Clay), April Grissom Springston (Jason), Jacob Dyer (Jenny) and Christan Fraley Brooks (Jake); great-grandchildren Reece Combs, Xzavier Reece, Annelise Veasey, Juliet Veasey, Eden Grace Veasey, Hailey Springston, Stella Kate Brooks and Callan Brooks; and a great-great-grandchild, Everly Ranie Reece.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to French Broad Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville, NC on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 10 AM with the funeral following at French Broad Baptist Church in Hendersonville on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2 PM.
