Ronald “Ronnie” Price Blackmon, 71, of Candler, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026.
Born January 12, 1955, in Asheville, NC, Ronnie was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Ronne attended Asheville High School and AB Tech Community College. Ronnie was a kind, selfless man. No one was ever a stranger. He was blessed with the gift of eloquence. A man of deep faith, he was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Mickey Ronald Blackmon and mother, Barbara Ann Yearout Blackmon.
He is survived by his daughter, Brigitte Robinson (Scott) of Asheville; grandson, Urijah Robinson of Asheville.; sister, Diane O’Dell (Joe) of Easton, PA; sister, Debora Howard of Mill Spring, NC; sister, Donna Westall (Dennis) of Old Fort, NC; brother, Richard Blackmon (Elizabeth) of Chuckey, TN; sister, Susan Morrow (Patrick) of Boise, ID; sister, Sharon Roberts of Seatac, WA; sister, Mary Jackson (Todd) of Milll Spring, NC. Several nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Edgewood Baptist Church, 61 Moody Avenue, Candler, NC 28715, with visitation beginning at 4:00 pm.
The family extends sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Mission Hospital and Care Partners Hospice Solace Center for their dedicated care and service to Ronnie.
