Ronald Dischert Obituary

            Ronald Craig Dischert, age 77, of Swannanoa, NC, passed  away on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his residence. He was born on November 18, 1942 in Camden County, New Jersey to the late Charles Dischert and Laura Howison Dischert. Ron served his country proudly in the United States Coast Guard and worked as a boat captain in the yachting industry. He was also retired from JM Family Enterprise in Deerfield, FL. Ron was an avid boater, camper, race fan and lover of all things which had to do with trains.

            Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Beverly Marshall Dischert; two sons, Randy Dischert of Pompano Beach, FL and Scott Dischert and his wife Pam of Summerville, SC; two daughters, Kimberly Dischert  and fiancé Rick of Concord, NC and Dawn Stromberg and husband Mark of Jupiter, FL; a brother, Bob Dischert and his wife Cathy of Deerfield Beach, FL; seven grandchildren, Kourtney Dewulf and husband Brad, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Taylor, Brock, and Alexandria Stromberg, all of Jupiter, FL, Jessica Furr of Alexandria, VA, Gigi Fursco of Summerville, SC and Michael Dischert of FL; three great-grandchildren, Saylor Dewulf of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Mason and Austin Furr, both of Alexandria, VA.

            A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date. The family would like to say a special “thank you” to their KOA family in Swannanoa for the love and care shown to them during this difficult time. Words cannot express how much you all mean to us.
