Ruth Elizabeth Stambaugh, 75, of Black Mountain, NC, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, with her husband by her side.

Born December 13, 1950, in Richmond County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Rex and Naomi Stambaugh. She was a member of both the Nature Conservatory and National Audubon Society. She was a talented textile artist and spiritual painter, not to mention she had the voice of an angel.

Surviving are her husband, Lance Edward Kurland, and brother, Mark Stambaugh, and his spouse, Laurel, of Arizona.
