Sarah Alice (Moore) McGuinn

Sarah Alice Moore McGuinn, age 88, of Fairview, NC, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Carolina Pines Nursing Facility in Asheville, NC.

Sarah was born on August 5, 1934 in Spartanburg Co., SC to the late Hattie and Clarence E. Moore. Sarah was a loving mother and grandmother and she especially loved spending time with her family during the holidays. She was retired and enjoyed being at home working on jigsaw puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her first husband, Odis Taylor; four brothers; and four sisters.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons, Eddie Taylor and his wife Becky and Kenny Taylor and his wife Debra, both of Fairview; two granddaughters, Amy Taylor Towe of Asheville and Lori Taylor McDevitt of Fairview; two step-grandchildren, Keisha Jones of Canton, NC  and Josh Moore of Weaverville;  five great grandchildren, Katie, Josh, and Justin Towe, and Chance and Kyleigh McDevitt; two step-great-grandchildren, Kayla and Kayden Taylor of Fairview and three great-great-grandchildren, Corbin Towe, Haisley McDevitt, and Marlee McDevitt.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Cane Creek Cemetery, 94 Graveyard Rd., Fairview, NC, with Reverend Chad Bennett officiating.
