Shirley Jean (Freck) Creasman

Shirley Jean Freck Creasman, 88, of Asheville passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Elevate Health and Rehabilitation in Asheville, NC.

Born March 8, 1936 in Asheville, NC, she was a daughter of the Charles B Freck and Emma Frady Freck. She worked as a social worker for most of her life and was a foster mother. She attended both Oakley Baptist Church and New Salem Church.

 In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse, Charles Creasman, Jr; 3 sisters; and 4 brothers. Surviving are her sons, Charles Creasman III of Marion, NC, and David Creasman and his spouse, Alisha, of Asheville, NC; 5 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

 A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Monday, March 10, 2025 in the chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends an hour prior.

Final resting place will be New Salem Cemetery.
