Thomas Ellis Smith, 86, of Asheville, NC, peacefully passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, at his home.

Thomas was born on September 23, 1939, in Buncombe County, NC, to the late Larkin M. Smith (1986) and Eula Mason Smith (1980). He is also preceded in death by his wife, Lynda R. Smith.

Thomas was a former member of High Vista Country Club.

Surviving Thomas are his sons, Thomas Smith (Cindy) of Candler, NC, Stephen Smith (Batina) of Florida; grandchildren, Jordan, Annalisa, Trenton, Tristan; great-grandchildren, Grant, Atlas; and several nieces and nephews.
