Todd Kenny Woods

Todd Kenny Woods, age 59, of Asheville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville.

Todd was born on August 3, 1963, in Buncombe County to Dale Wrenn Woods and the late Oran Kenny Woods. He served his country proudly as a Corpsman in the United States Navy. Todd held a few different jobs throughout his life. He worked as a truck driver, paramedic, and a volunteer fireman.

Todd was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and grandfather. He loved being outdoors and going on adventures.  He enjoyed hiking, backpacking, fishing, rock climbing, and cycling. He also enjoyed going to the beach and eating lots of seafood. He had a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his father, Todd was preceded in death by a nephew, Timmie Berlage.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Dale Woods of Asheville; a daughter, Jorden (Adam) Morrison, of San Diego, CA; a son, Matthew Woods of Black Mountain, NC; a sister, Kim Berlage of Black Mountain; three grandsons, Brayden, Lucas “Gus”, and Tristan, all of San Diego, CA; two nieces, Josie (Mark) Dratwa and Alex (Logan) Swarts, both of Black Mountain, NC; and a nephew, Richie (Rebecca) Berlage of Asheville, NC.

A Memorial Service will be announced by the family at a later date.
