Tommy Joe Pressley

Tommy Joe Pressley, age 69 of Black Mountain, NC, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his residence of 16 years.

Tommy was born on October 19, 1955, in Buncombe County to the late Joe and Marjorie Pressley. Tommy was much more than just a character—he embodied a genuine zest for life. His many journeys to Myrtle Beach and Dollywood weren't simply trips; they were vibrant chapters in his lifetime adventure, filled with the kind of joy and wonder that comes from embracing every moment. Each visit to those destinations held special memories of laughter, discovery, and the simple pleasures that make life so meaningful. Tommy deeply cherished his family. His kids, grandkids, and great-grandchildren weren't just names in his life; they were his anchor, his inspiration, and the source of his most heartfelt joy.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Joey Pressley and wife Crystal and Steven Pressley and wife Krissie; grandchildren, Tyler Pressley and wife Kendra, Trevor Sell, Devon Rathbone, Zachary Buchanan, Gracie Pressley and Noah Pressley; great-grandchildren Thaiden, Freya, Adaline, Davina, Jessa, and Leonidas; sisters Patricia Chandler and Betty Wiseman; and brothers Dennis Pressley, Ronnie Pressley and Charles Pressley.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Penland Family Funeral Home at 125 South Ave., Swannanoa, NC 28778.
