Victoria (Soteras) Galvez

Victoria Soteras Galvez, 65, of Asheville, NC, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020, at Stonecreek Health and Rehabilitation in Asheville.

Ms. Galvez was born on December 23, 1954, in Havana, Cuba to the late Luis Angel Soteras and Luisa Mercedes Gonzalez-Nuevo. She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother who had a great sense of humor. Her family says “her laughter kept us all alive!”. She worked as a secretary for the attorney general’s law office in Orlando, FL and she really enjoyed singing Karaoke.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons, Luis (Amber) Galvez, of Canton, NC and Michael (fiance’ Katlyn) Galvez of Asheville; two brothers, Luis Soteras of Havana, Cuba and Jimmy Soteras of Miami, FL; a sister, Ava Overstreet, of Henderson, Nevada; and two precious granddaughters, Kira and Anya Galvez, both of Canton.

No services are planned at this time.
