Vincent (Vince) Ray Otwell, 60, passed away on December 22, 2025, due to injuries from a car accident. Vince graduated from Clyde A. Erwin High School in Asheville, NC. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army. Other than while stationed abroad, Vince lived in and around the Asheville area. Vince was a caring and loving soul who consistently put the needs of others before his own. He was kind and quick to lighten the mood through his playful sense of humor, and he loved his nine fur babies: Alice, Joey, Buzz, Lilo, Stitch, Andy, Woody, Tom, and Jerry.
Vince is preceded in death by his father, Shelton Ray (Chip) Otwell, and his mother, Hattie Louise Otwell. He is survived by his loving husband Berkeley Baker, sister Vana Crayton (Mike), brother Jeff Otwell (Marie), stepfather Dwight Otwell (Susan), nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 11, at 3:00 PM, at GracePoint- Woodland Hills Baptist Church.
