Warren Mitchell Reece, Jr.

            Warren Mitchell Reece, Jr., age 67, of Swannanoa, NC, went home to be The Lord on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. He was born on January 15, 1954 in Asheville, NC to the late Reverend Warren Mitchell Reece, Sr. and Ruby Mae Rogers Reece. Warren graduated from Asheville High School. In his early life, he worked in Civil Air Patrol and was also a volunteer fireman. He was then self employed for many years. Warren enjoyed wood working and traveling in his spare time. He attended Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Swannanoa, NC.

            Those left behind to cherish Warren's memory are his beloved wife of 48 years, Barbara Moore Reece; his daughter, Nikki Morrow (Ed); his son, Travis M. Reece (Kim); his sister, Gail Reece; and his three grandsons, Houston Morrow, Burkley Reece, and Porter Reece; all of Swannanoa, NC.

            A memorial service will be held at 4pm, Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Black Mountain Presbyterian located at 117 Montreat Road, Black Mountain. **Masks are required** The service will be live streamed and available to watch on the church website: https://bmpcnc.org/. The Rev. James Lamb will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends following the service at the church.

            Warren was a recipient of a kidney donation which gave him 11 extra years of life. Memorials can be sent in his honor to www.donatelife.net or consider signing up to be an organ donor and give the gift of life. The family would like to thank all of the medical personnel who had taken great care of Warren over the years.
