Wilbur “Will” C. Garner, 78, of Fairview, NC passed away in his home on April 10, 2025.

Will resided in Southern Pines, NC, before settling in Fairview, NC, where he built a meaningful life. As a civil engineer for the NC Department of Transportation, he earned the nickname "the traffic man," reflecting his dedication to his work. A lifelong admirer of golf, he contributed to special events with the USGA, sharing his passion for the sport. Will had an extraordinary gift for connection and kindness—he truly never met a stranger.

Surviving Will is his loving wife of 57 years, Carole Garner; children, KJ Garner (Jeff Brousal), Mary Garner; siblings, Carol Clements, Karen Messick; granddaughter, Harleigh Davis; grandson, Sully Davis (Brandee); and five great-grandchildren.
