William "Will" Snyder Obituary

William "Will" David Snyder, 45, of Asheville, went to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 12, 2020. He was preceded in death by his Nana, Valeda Savard. Will will be missed by his wife, Rebecca Snyder of Lenoir; his daughter, Kameron Paige Snyder of Wilmington; his sister, Brandi Snyder; his parents, Dirk and Donna Snyder both of Kings Mountain; and his grandfather, Gary Savard of Horseheads, NY.
Will was blessed with a loving family including his aunts, Robin Savard, Catherine Savard Case, and Andrea Lopez; his Uncle Rick Savard; and his 11 cousins. He was not average by any means. Those who knew him well, knew that he was incredibly smart, liked to be the center of attention, and was the life of any party. He was a master at making everyone laugh. You also know that Will tried hard to make his life mean something and lived his life on the edge. He was an excellent student in school. He never had to study, made good grades, and was a wrestler. After graduating high school, Will joined the Army. He completed basic training at Fort Bragg and was an infantry soldier in the 82nd Airborne. This was his calling and he was extremely proud to serve his country.
Will held many different jobs after serving his country. He laid flooring, worked installing cable and just recently graduated from Advanced Culinary Class. He loved cooking, fishing, and the NY Giants. He will be missed greatly.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in the Penland Family Funeral Home Chapel. A private family burial will immediately follow the service at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
