Wyona Howie Bridges

Wyona Howie Bridges, of Swannanoa, NC, went to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on May 9, 2026.

A devoted woman of faith, Wyona was a longtime member of Swannanoa First Baptist Church, where she found great joy in her community and her walk with the Lord. Her life was defined by her love for her family and her unwavering spirit.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Kenneth Bridges, and her twin son, Darrell Lee Bridges.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Carl Mitchell Bridges of Woodstock, GA; Travis Kent Bridges of Woodstock, GA; Shannon Elizabeth Bridges of Cartersville, GA; and her twin daughter and "special son-in-law," Debra Bridges Jarzyna and David Allen Jarzyna.

Wyona’s legacy also lives through her many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she held dear to her heart. She will be deeply missed by her family, her church friends, and all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Swannanoa First Baptist Church.
