William Erwin Hensley

William Erwin Hensley, 85, a lifelong resident of Buncombe County, passed away August 29, 2017 at Asheville Health Care Center in Swannanoa.

Mr. Hensley was born January 3, 1931 to the late David and Mary Whisnant Hensley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hensley, and a granddaughter, Ashley Hensley.

Mr. Hensley worked for C. D. Owen Manufacturing Co. and was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his four children, Jacki Cline of Asheville, Alan Hensley of Asheville, Gary Cline of Asheville, and Davy Cline of Hendersonville; five grandchildren, DJ Hensley, Justin Fox, Jordan Cline, Kris Cline, and Nick Cline; and one great-granddaughter, Holly Cline.
